Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to evaluate Turkish National Police in-service training courses.In order to conduct this study, two different data sets were used. The first data come from Turkish National Police that include in-service training courses between1995 and 2011. The second data also come from Turkish National Police and include a survey that was conducted in 2011 to participants of in-service training courses in order to obtain their thoughts on in-service training courses.In this vein, this study has three main assumptions. (1) In-service training courses given by Turkish National Police increased between 1995 and 2011, (2) The number of different in-service training courses also increases in the same period, and (3) participants of in-service training courses positively evaluate courses in terms of their knowledge, contents and the level of trainersAccording to study findings, the number of in-service training courses given by Turkish National Police increased between 1995 and 2011. In addition, the number of different courses given by Turkish National Police also increased between 1995 and 2011. In other words, the variety of in-service training courses was increased between 1995 and 2011.Finally, according to survey that was conducted in 2011 to evaluate in-service training courses, most of the participants positively evaluate in-service training course in terms of their knowledge, contents and the level of trainers.
