Abstract (EN)
In this study, the technological properties of laminated wood materials (LWM). prepared from Fagus orientalis Lipsky and Pinus sylvestris L. having five and eight ply, impregnated with tanalith-C 3310, borax, boric acid, borax+boric acid and di-ammonium phosphate chemicals were examined. Fagus orientalis Lipsky and Pinus sylvestris L. woods were used outer ply and Populus nigra used for core ply in LVL. For this purpose; before the gluing process, veneers were processed with impregnation chemicals according to the procedure of ASTM-D 1413-76 standards during 60 minutes with 760 mm Hg~l pre-vacuum then, 60 minutes 2 atmospheric pressure. And then, veneers were bonded with phenol formaldehyde and melamin formaldehyde adhesives and LVL was obtained. In the experiments, bending strength, modulus of elasticity, density, dimensional changes, bonding strengths, compression strengths and combustion properties have been determined. In conclusion, it was proven that boric acid and tanalith-C 3310 gave the negative effect and the other chemicals showed the positive effect for LWM.Key words :Lamination, Fagus orientalis Lipsky, Pinus sylvestris L., borax, boric acid, di-ammonium phosphate, tanalith-C 3310, phenol formaldehyde, melamin formaldehyde.
