In this study was carried out, determine the effects impregnation process to performance of the diagonal tension and pressure on the hidden tenon and mortise joint. For this purpose, the samples with secret tenon and mortise joint were prepared from Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.), red pine (Pinus brutia Ten), Cedar (Cedrus libani A. Rich). Before and after glue bonding Tanalith Eimpregnation was applied to A and B components of these samples by the pressure-vacuum and dipping methods. After impregnation A and B elements of thise samples combined with adhesives PVAc and PU (D-VTKA = trieketonol Desmodur-vinyl acetate). Diagonal tension and diagonal pressure tests were applied to thise prepared samples acording to the principles of ASTM D 1037.As a result, the performance of the highest diagonal tension, in terms of material type on the red pine 5350.5 N, in terms of glue type on the VTKA adhesive 5003 N, in terms of the process type on the samples which glued bonding before vacuum-impregnation 4918.333 N, in terms of the triple interaction of the material type-glue type-processing type, on the glued bonding samples which combined red pine - VTKA adhesive - before the impregnation 5745 N, was obtained. Diagonal compression performance results were found close to those obtained in attracting diagonal. It has been identified in general that the impregnation process reduced performance of all three tree species and two varieties of glue bond between 5-10%.Accordingly, in terms of diagonal pressure and tension performances, it can suggest as wood type the red pine and as glue type the D-VTKA on the furniture corner joints with systematic framework.
