Özet (EN)
OBJECTİVE: Endometrium carcinomas are the most common malignancies in female genital system. The most common symptom is postmenapausal bleeding. Stage is the most important factor in prognosis. In earlier studies with several carcinomas it is proved that GLUT-1 and Maspin effects the stage and naturally the prognosis of the patient. It's been shown that GLUT-1 and Maspin have been shown to function in tumor progression and metastatic spread. The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between elevation of GLUT-1 and Maspin expression in type -1 endometrial carcinomas, their relationship with the factors that effects the prognosis. METHOD: The pathologic blocks of 68 patients who had undergone operation because of endometrial carcinoma in 2011-2012, are retrieved from the archives With 68 control patients which had proliferative and secretory endometrium Immunohistochemical analysis was performed. Results were evaluated with the pathologist. RESULTS: Both GLUT-1 and Maspin expression was found to be significantly high in adeno carcinomas. (p<0.001). GLUT-1 and Maspin expression was not correlated with lymph node metastasis, positive periton cytology, metastasis and recurrancy. In patients group, lenfovasculary area invasion and myometrial invasion are correlated with high GLUT-1 expression (p:0,026 , p:0,024) Stage and need of extra therapy were higher with Maspin in patients group (p:0,019 , p : 0,042). Survey was borderline significant with Maspin expression (p:0,085) DİSCUSSİON: This study is some kind of proof that GLUT-1 and Maspin expression is positive in type 1 endometrial carcinomas. This study supports that GLUT-1 is an important fact for tumor progression and metastasis. At the end of the study it was clear that Maspin is a more effective agent in parameters which shows us the prognosis (stage, survey). KEYWORDS: Endometrial Carcinoma, GLUT-1, Maspin, Prognosis
