IV EFFECTS OF ENDOSULFAN ON MICE LIVER TISSUE (M.Sc. Thesis) Şener KÖYSÜREN GAZI UNIVERSITY INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY June 2005 ABSTRACT In this study 2.0 mg/kg endosulfan was given to albino mice through gavage for 6 weeks. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 weeks after endosulfan treatment mice were dissected. Bloods were taken and blood glucose level was measured. Liver tissues were taken and histopathological investigations were done. Statically increase of blood glucose level was observed from at the end of the 3rd week in the endosulfan treated group. In the histopathological investigations at the end of the 3rd and 4th week cell infiltration, at the end of the 5th week necrotic cells, at the end of the 6th week necrotic areas were observed in the liver.
