Abstract (EN)

Industry 4.0, also known as the Fourth Industrial Revolution, has been the beginning of a new era in which digital technologies are used in many areas. At the point reached today, one of the areas affected by digitalization, which has become a part of daily life, is social entrepreneurship. As a result of Industry 4.0 and the intense digitalization brought by this revolution, digital social entrepreneurship has emerged. Digital social enterprises, which have many positive aspects compared to traditional social enterprises, operate in many areas that contribute to the realization of sustainable development such as environment, economy, employment, education, disadvantaged groups, and gender equality. In this study, firstly, the process from the emergence of the concept of entrepreneurship to digital social entrepreneurship will be examined. Then, the effects of digital social entrepreneurship on sustainable development will be evaluated in the context of the concept of sustainable development and digital social entrepreneurship examples, and suggestions will be made for the development of digital social entrepreneurship in Turkey.
