Abstract (EN)

Throughout history, three industrial revolutions have taken place. The first industrial revolution was achieved through the use of steam systems. When we look at the second industrial revolution, production efficiency has increased with the widespread use of petroleum and the development of production band systems. The third industrial revolution has manifested itself as an information revolution with rapid development in the fields of electricity, electronics, computers and the internet. The latest industrial revolution, in which information society has come, is referred to as Industry 4.0. Industry 4.0 can be defined as the ability of machine power to take the place of human power and to automatically manage production processes. The phenomenon of industrialization can be examined in two respects. In a narrow sense, industrialization can be viewed as the use of machinery in the production of goods, or the industry's share of GDP over a certain value. Industrialization in the broad sense means that the industrial revolution, and the economic, social, political, etc. in the fields of change. In the past, the first revolution occurred in agriculture. It is the first social revolution that human beings have made through the establishment of an agrarian society through a settled life. This process is following the industrial revolution. The industrial revolution has emerged as three major changes. Another term that started in 1750-1890 and was called the First Industrial Revolution, is the Buhar Age. The reason for the mention of the steam age is that the steam engine, the invention of James Watt, is regarded as the beginning of the era. During this period, the textile industry developed and metallurgical changes took place. Shipbuilding and railways have become industrialized by the increase in steel production. 4.0 Industry in Turkey is of great importance in terms of sustainable economic growth and to reach the level of developed countries. In this study, the fourth industrial revolution was tried to be explained with its basic concepts. The study also R & D and communications indicators were examined as part of Turkey's economy in terms of industry 4.0.
