Abstract (EN)

In the new world order, it has become a necessity for organizations to adapt to the new technological infrastructure and application processes with the changing human needs and expectations. In this context, Industry 4.0 or the Fourth Industrial Revolution emerges as a new concept that includes technological changes and innovations applied in production and service processes. Industry 4.0, which is a concept that remains up-to-date in all sectors in general, but especially in the production sector, has initiated changes with the transfer of new concepts and information that emerged with technological developments to business processes and has turned this change into an obligation for employees and managers to adapt. In this context, the aim of the study is to determine the perceptions of the concept of Industry 4.0 and to reveal the effect of these perceptions on innovative behavior. In line with the purpose of the research, a literature review about the related concepts has been made and theoretical information has been tried to be conveyed. The questionnaire form created for the application part of the research was distributed to the employees of the business operating in the metal-machine manufacturing sector in Eskişehir. In this context, the study was carried out with 224 participants who agreed to participate in the research. With the data obtained from the study, firstly the concept of Industry 4.0 and the perceptions of innovative behavior and the differences between demographic groups were tried to be determined. "t-test" whether the perceptions of the concept of Industry 4.0, which is the independent variable of the research, and the dependent variable innovative behavior differ according to gender and marital status; Whether it differs according to age, education level, and working time in the institution was tried to be tested with the "ANOVA test". As a result of the T test performed for this purpose; It was seen that the concept of industry 4.0 and the perception of innovative behavior differed significantly between men and women. It was observed that the perceptions of married and single employees differed significantly only for the concept of Industry 4.0. It has been determined that the education levels of the employees differ according to the innovative behavior. It was determined that the said differences were between primary education-graduate, high school-graduate, college-graduate and undergraduate-graduate groups. (p< 0.05). Significant differences were found between the working time in the institution and the Industry 4.0 variable. The said differences are between 1-3 years and 16 years and above; 7-10 years to 1-3 years; It was determined that it was between 10-15 years and 16 years and over groups. (p<0.05). As a result of the correlation analysis performed to determine the relationships between the variables; It has been determined that there are positive and significant relationships between perceptions of the concept of industry 4.0 and its sub-dimensions and innovative behavior variables. Regression analysis was performed to determine the effects of these variables on each other. It has been determined that the concept of Industry 4.0 and its sub-dimensions, intention to use (CR) and ease of use (QC) have a positive and significant effect on innovative behavior (OS).
