Abstract (EN)
This study aims to examine how technological developments based on Industry 4.0 of Garanti Bankası, Yapı ve Kredi Bankası, Finansbank and Denizbank between 2009-2020 affected the employment figures of the relevant banks. For this purpose, the number of employees, operating expenses, internet banking user numbers, mobile banking user numbers, customer numbers, credit card user numbers, ATM numbers and POS numbers of banks was used as data. Banks respond to the demands of the changing customer ecosystem with the innovations brought by Fintech and Banking 4.0., which can be described as the extension of Industry 4.0 in the banking sector. The number of branches accepted as traditional banking activities, the number of personnel and the changes in personnel expenses in connection with these two items, the number of internet banking users reflecting technological developments, the number of mobile banking users and the operating expenses that are the balance sheet item in which the investments made in these two items are followed, and the number of credit card users representing alternative distribution channels, The number of ATMs, the number of POS is examined and answers are sought.
