Abstract (EN)

Industry 4.0, known as the Fourth Industrial Revolution, can affect many sectors today. One sector that Industry 4.0 impacts is logistics. With the digitalization of industrial processes, the types of services needed in logistics are becoming more varied. All Industry 4.0 applications in logistics are part of what we call Logistics 4.0. Logistics 4.0 is very important for all members of the supply chain because it helps improve sustainability, efficiency, and core business processes. It involves using smart transportation systems and integrating them with enterprise resource planning, warehouse management systems, transportation management systems, supply chain, and logistics processes. By using technology, companies aim to save costs, time, and improve speed and competitiveness, providing better services and value to their customers. Research on the popular concept of Logistics 4.0 is important for people who work or want to work in this field. The SWOT analysis in the thesis looks at the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of Industry 4.0 in the logistics sector. Strengths include increased efficiency and lower costs, while weaknesses are high investment needs and potential economic risks. Opportunities include discovering new markets and services and gaining competitive advantages, but rapid technological changes and more regulations can be threats. In May, interviews with leading logistics companies gave important insights into the current state and future directions of Logistics 4.0 in Turkey. These discussions highlighted the potential of smart technologies to improve efficiency and competitiveness. The study aims to focus on areas of Logistics 4.0 that are not yet explored or are developing, and to guide future research in this field.
