Abstract (EN)
Industry 4.0, which was realized within the scope of high-tech solutions, was described as a roof concept for making the internet usable in the industrial sector and digitalizing production under the leadership of the German industry in 2011. E4.0, which emerges due to its own technological components, aims to realize the main objectives of speed, quality, personalized production and reduction of costs, especially efficiency. Based on these objectives, the idea of determining the effects of E4.0 components was the starting point of this research, The aim of this study is to determine or reveal the effects of Industry 4.0 technology components on organizational performance. Theoretical information about the conceptual framework about Industry 4.0 was given in the first part of the study. In this section, especially the literature was examined exactingly and the subjects were tried to be discussed in multidimensional way. Industry 4.0 technologies were explained in terms of business-related features rather than engineering aspects. Organizational performance concept and organizational performance dimensions were tried to be explained in the second part. Examining the results of the literature and the successful examples carried out, the effect between the components of Industry 4.0 technology and organizational performance was tried to be revealed in the third part which is the research part of the thesis. In the research part of the study, the enterprises using Industry 4.0 technologies and having strategic targets on behalf of Industry 4.0 in Kayseri Organized Industrial Zone were selected as sample for the purpose of the thesis. In this context, data were collected by face-to-face interviews with managers, surveys and second-hand data method in enterprises using Industry 4.0 technologies and adapting themselves to the process and statistical analyzes were performed. As a result of the analyzes, it was seen that the Industry 4.0 technology components affect the organizational performance and this effect is positive in support of the results in the literature. In broader terms, it was concluded that Industry 4.0 technology components especially increase profitability, sales, production amount, production per capita, capacity utilization rate, production speed and product quality and cause significant decreases in production costs within the organizational performance criteria.
