Abstract (EN)
Industry 4.0, which is considered to be the most modern stage of the developing technologies today, has been on the agenda since 2011, when it was put forward for the companies that want to adapt to the competitive conditions. This revolution, which seeks the solution of the consumer's demand for product quality in a shorter time and in a different shape, also provides for predictions about the future. Those who will direct this transition process for the businesses are basically the senior managers. Although hierarchical orders, like in the past, have begun to be demolished, the transition decision is generally enlarged from the administration to the entire organization. The Aegean Region has formed the research area due to the fact that the industry is at the forefront of development and tries to adapt to the conditions of competition. This thesis consists of three parts. The first part includes the development of the industry and the components of Industry 4.0, which is the current point of view in order to increase the intelligibility of the subject. In this section, the theoretical framework was formed by explaining the socio-economic triggers and its effects on the development of Industry 4.0. The second part, which is the main part of the thesis, is composed of the changes in the meaning of what should be done with the Industry 4.0. In the last part of the thesis, 15 open-ended interview questions and analyzes were performed. As a consequence of the interviews, it has been shown that Industry 4.0 changed the levels of expectation and anxiety, by increasing both aspects. In conclusion, it has been determined that Industry 4.0 has an increasing effect on the competitiveness of enterprises, and the expectations of managers about the future are high. Industry 4.0, in addition to effects on management strategies, has changed and about to change the traditional job division and job descriptions.
