Abstract (EN)
Employers' organisations are set up to protect and improve the shared economic rights and interests of capital owners. In various fields, capital pursues several distinct interests. This situation caused the diversification of the capital oriented organisations and the differentiation of their activities over time. The aim of the study is to investigate the role and the impact of the employers' organisations in the development of industrial relations with a special emphasis on Turkey Metal Industrialists' Union (MESS). The study is mainly based on document analysis method. Printed and electronic materials of MESS and other relevant institutions and organisations have been studied and interpreted. In addition, the research consulted the biographies of business people who worked in employers' organisations and subsidiary sources. The study has demonstrated that MESS often successfully fulfills the requirements of its class interests.
