A Research on the effects of flexible manufacturing system on efficiency and effectiveness in industrial organizations

Industrial organisations should apply developing technology, in order to continue manufacturing effectively. Although technology which requires a great deal of capital investment, provides positive effects to the organisation, it has also negative effects. Organisations must analyse these positive and negative effects very well when transferring technology. In this study, the effects of Flexible Manufacturing Systems which requires great capital investment and whose usage rise rapidly in the world in recent years, on efficiency and effectiveness. A research has been carried out in small and medium machine production organisations in Middle East Industry and Trade Center (OSTIM) and First Organised Industry and the applicability of this system in these organisations has been investigated.
