Özet (EN)
There are using possibilities of phosphogypsum as a by-product of phosphoric acid production with the construction material and the industrial wastes. Possibilities of using phosphogypsum is limited because of the impurities. This impurities can be removed by raffination methods; such as washing and calcination. In this research the usability of phosphogypsum in civil engineering as a structural material in Turkey is investigated. For this purpose, a number of physical analysis was conducted on the natural gypsum, phosphogypsum and the mixture in specific proportions phosphogypsum and natural gypsum. Determination of crystal water, sieve analysis, determination of set duration and flow diameter, Ph determination, the amount of moisture content determination, determination of flexural and compressive strength and surface hardness are in the physical analysis. Natural gypsum is the degree of Ph 7 and phosphogypsum is the degree of Ph 3. Limiting the use of phosphogypsum as a material due to the acidic property of breaking and compressive strength values were prepared by mixing the proper proportions.Key Words : Phosphogypsum, the natural gypsum, phosphoric acid, environmental pollution, physical analysis.
