Industrial waste management-the case of Sinop Industrial Organized Zone

It is a fact that the Organized Industrial Zones are an important contributor to the development of cities. Firstly the planned development and sustainable production of the industry should be aimed in order to achieve a planned urban development, of course, the development and using of clean technologies for this sustainable production, which are also among the basic principles of modern waste management, where the least use of natural resources is used, and the harmful effects of waste on people and the environment, by applying appropriate techniques to minimize the dangerous effects on the environment in the production, using and final disposal of products have been attempted to minimize. In the management of industrial wastes as well as in the whole of waste types, it is aimed to ensure sustainability in terms of both environmental and economic as well as socially. The Organized Industrial Zone, an important dynamism of the Sinop province, is intended to have a sustainable management plan for the environment, economy and, certainly human beings. For that, evaluations were made on a sample of a company. For this purpose, the company's industrial waste management plan was examined and inventory work was carried out. The wastes generated in the processes are named after collecting them individually and stored in the temporary waste storage and then are given to the final disposal company. The most abrasion occurred in the grinding process. In the evaluation of the wastes from the production processes of the company, recovery was achieved by using R12 method at most.
