Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this study, it is aimed to investigate the usability of different industrial wastes in geopolymer production. For this purpose, experimental processes were carried out for materials to be formed by using fly ash, which is the waste of thermal power plants, at different times, temperatures and ratios. The efficiency of sodium hydroxide and sodium metasilicate alkali solutions in obtaining geopolymer was investigated using different ratios. The use and effects of apricot resin, apricot shell, bentonite and clay in obtaining geopolymer were examined. XRD, FTIR and SEM analyzes were used for the characterization of the obtained geopolymers with different properties. After these analyzes, functional groups in the structure, amorphous and crystal structures were determined. The effect of TiO2 on the geopolymer structure was examined and its photocatalytic property was investigated. Kinetic models were examined within the scope of the same study. After the studies, it was determined that the structures active with TiO2 exhibited photocatalytic effect and fit the pseudo second order kinetic model. After the adsorption experiments, over 80% methylene blue removal was calculated. It has been determined that the geopolymers obtained can be used as building material with high physical strength, and the samples with high adsorbent character can be used as coating material, especially in waste removal.
