Dr. Osman BABAARSLANProf. Dr. Orhan BÜYÜKALACAThis study is about the production process of weft wale corduroy from yarn tofinishing, general specifications and necessary qualities for usage.In this respect, several performance measuring tests has been applied to 20types of weft wale corduroy and the results has been analyzed.On the applied tests, physical specifications like weft and warp yarn values,weft and warp densities, wale counts, cover factor, weights, pile lost, tensile strength,tear strength, slim slippage, maximal elongation on lycra corduroys, permanentelongation, color change to washing, color change to water, alkaliti and acidic colorfastness to perspiration, color fastness, wet crocking performance values aredetermined. The chosen results of applied tests are listed below.The examinations of the test results are pointing out that, weaving, density,yarn values and material are effective on the all performances of applied dyeing andfinishing processes.Key Words: Corduroy, Weft Wale Corduroy, Pile LostII
