Industrial plantations can be defined as afforestations established in order to meet the wood raw material demand of the forest products sector, where improved fast-growing tree species are generally used as a single species in the field, requiring labor-intensive work from establishment to maturity, with short management periods and regular spacing. In these studies, mechanized work-intensive work is the basis under suitable land conditions. The General Directorate of Forestry has created an "Industrial Plantation Action Plan" for the period of 2013-2023 in order to increase the wood supply to the sector. In this action plan, it is aimed to establish 160.000 ha of plantations using local fast-growing forest tree species. In practice, the expansion of the action plan to marginal areas with high slopes such as 50% has caused a departure from the basis. The studies have focused on Pinus brutia areas in the southern and western regions of our country. According to the 2014-2028 Strategic Plan, it is aimed to establish 30.000 ha of new industrial plantations. In this study, the problems encountered in industrial plantation studies have been examined.
