Abstract (EN)

With the developing technology, the production methods used to meet the increasing demands in the production standards and quantities in the ceramic industry are constantly developing. The goal of industrial ceramic establishments is to increase the amount of production in series by facilitating production. As a result, the molding methods used in the production processes of ceramic products are constantly improving. In the late 19th century industrialization, urbanization laid the groundwork to accelerate the emergence of modernism. This led to the belief of using technology infinitely and thus the Bauhaus art movement emerged. Bauhaus' aim was to gather up arts and crafts together. With the modernist era, different bonds created with ceramic materials have led to new approaches. In the postmodern period, with the removal of borders and the use of many kinds of production methods, different styles and material usages are emerged. In today's ceramic art, besides many techniques used by artists to contribute to different styles and expression languages, we often encounter molding and mold production methods. Industrial production methods not only provide time and production convenience to the artist in the artistic production process, but also offer different possibilities as an artistic discourse and tool. In the first part of this study, industrial ceramic molding and production methods are given in detail. In the second part of the thesis, ceramic artists using ceramic molding methods in their production processes and their arts have been researched. Third part of it includes personal applications which are done by using industrial ceramic molding methods.
