Fossil fuels which are harmful for environment, tend to being exhaust and nuclear power is taken into account as a dangerous power supply, therefore wind power becomes more important and valuable option among the renewable energy. In the matter of wind power; new production technologies about component of the turbine as generator, rotor and blade, increasing capacity factor of installed or will be installed wind turbines, grids which includes many wind turbine and smart integration, allocation of wind turbine in the grid and finding an optimum point to connect the wind turbine to grid, are among the most significant R&D studies. Wind power which is the most outstanding resources among renewable energy sources, can have negative effects on electrical power systems because of the random nature of wind which is used as primary energy source in wind turbines. Related distribution and transmission system operators have set rules which are known as grid codes, to avoid this kind of situations. In Turkey, this rules have been defined according to 'Regulation of Electricity Transmission Supply Reliability'. It has to be determined that how much wind power will be connected to the grid and which point is the most convenience point for the integration while all electrical parameters are stay in grid code limits. This situation has a crucial role for our country's energy policy. The term that wind power potential in Turkey, is used in a wrong way to define the total wind power resources which is a case that technical constraints are not taken into account. This wind power potential has to be evaluated with region's wind data to determine the technical utilizable capacity accurately. Therefore, wind power potential is obtained in a realistic way, so our country's strategies and investment plans can be designed. In this thesis, Catalca distribution network has chosen as a pilot region and modelled in NEPLAN power system analyzer program, to investigate the integration steps of wind power to Turkey's power network. In this perspective, wind power connection to weakest point of grid, is investigated due to the grid code requirements and cost of unit energy is computed based on wind power data.
