Abstract (EN)
Recently meter reading, Internet usage and smart home automation by using power line communication have been used due to the advantage of low installation and labor costs. In this area, different studies continue to develop communication systems. The aim of this thesis is to examine the impact of the frequency of the signal used to communicate over the power line and is to develop a communication system. For this purpose, in a building on-line communication signals at different frequencies were measured and then the measured signal data were evaluated with an artificial neural network. Thus, attenuation rate is determined for each frequency. By using the measured data, variation in line impedance with respect to the communication signal frequency is obtained graphically and the importance of the frequency on power line communication is demonstrated. In this thesis, three different approaches for power line communication are designed and developed with a simple structure and low cost. Then these communication applications were tested in different places. In first application a zero-crossing signal transmission line was realized. As a second, a FSK application was realized to ensure the communication in 3 phases. In the final application, the communication with variable frequency was realized through dedicated software resulting in minimizing the hardware components.
