POWERLINE COMMUNICATION AND APPLICATIONS(M.Sc. Thesis)Sevilay UYANIKGAZ UNIVERSITYINSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGYSeptember 2006ABSTRACTAt the end of the 20 th century, ?The wired society? idea to meet theenergy and communication needs over a single powerline, haverecently been come to life again with ?Broadband to the allhouseholds? projects. The opportunity of the use of energy distributionlines that reach to all of the houses and power sockets in all of therooms that will overcome the bottleneck of the local loop, has broughtreviewing the communications technologies to the agenda again.
