Abstract (EN)
Due to short circuits, unsymmetrical or symmetrical faults may investigate in two parts in energy transmission lines. Three-phase faults are named symmetrical, single phase-ground, phase-phase and double phase-ground faults are called unsymmetrical. Method of symmetrical components is one of developed methods for analyzing of symmetrical or unsymmetrical faults. In this study, symmetrical components method was used for calculation of faults. A MATLAB/GUI based Fault Calculation program was developed. In this interface, suitable input boxes have been developed to input sequence reactances of circuit elements and to calculate the fault currents and voltages due to the fault choices. As result, interface was implemented for unsymmetrical and symmetrical fault calculation and for drawing signals. Furthermore, due to the interface is user friendly, it can be used as educational material.
