Abstract (EN)
In this study, a sample high voltage electricity tower is modeled and its behavior under wind, ice and earthquake loads is investigated. The wind and ice load that will affect the tower has been calculated according to the Power Plants (EKAT) regulation used in our country and ASCE 74 (Electric Transmission Lines Structural Loading Guide) used in the USA. While analyzing, the Design, Calculation and Construction Principles of Steel Structures for our country and ASCE 10 97 (Design of Steel Lattice Transmission Structures) regulation for the USA were taken into account. The thesis consists of seven chapters. In the first part, general information about the lattice systems and the causes of damage to the electric towers, in the second part the studies on the subject, in the third part the characteristics of the electric tower, the load guides used in the fourth part, the design guides used in the fifth part, the comparisons and the studies in the sixth part and the results in the last part are presented. According to the study, in the electrical tower design, the loads that govern the design are wind and ice loads, earthquake loads do not pose a danger to the structure, the load increases caused by the deterioration of the load balance due to conductor rupture in the elements disrupt the stability of the structure and cause it to be damaged, the deficiencies of the load and design guides used in our country, and the design deficiencies of the existing electricity tower with the model are presented.
