Abstract (EN)
Energy production and distribution, once an indisputable role of state, has been going through a massive privatization era. The privatizations made predominantly under the supervision of the state, has been giving private rights to individuals as well. But given the importance and size of the market, together with the uniqe properties of each country, it is necessary to investigate the subject matter in the light of this context.In this study, we have discussed the conditions of ?nationalization requests? one of the rights given private authorities in the energy market.As a result of the study, it has been concluded that the nationalization request is subject to ?Law on Privilages Regarding General Public Benefit? and the complextiy and languafe of the law makes it difficult in application and decision making.Key Words1.Energy Sector2.Electricity Market3.Expropriation on Behalf4.Private Persons5.Public Service
