Energy management

There are two important concepts that we face with in today?s world: Energy andmanagement. The resources have to be used efficiently because of the energy demand whichis growing day by day, so the concepts of energy efficiency and energy savings come up. Allthese concepts which are discussed with energy emphasize the importance of ?energymanagement?.Mainly the mean of energy management is the usage of energy in optimum level. For thisreason, companies have to decide who will be the directly responsible of energy managementprogram, appoint an energy manager, allocate the resources and provide the required supportto obtain efficient results.Firms can constitute energy savings programs in different forms for managing the energyefficiently. Some of the firms establish the savings organization at plant level while the othersprefer department or company level.Working on energy management and savings are not only valid for the firms which perform ina specific area. Therefore, working on energy management and savings in different sectors arediscussed generally in this dissertation, in-depth interviews were conducted with the firmswhich work in this sector and the necessity of making laws and executing them are proposedto reinforce the studies of energy management as conclusion.Key words: Energy, Energy Management, Energy Efficiency, Energy Savings, ElectricalMotor
