Abstract (EN)
Tests are very important in all disciplines. Any product before being put on the market undergoes a series of tests to ensure its competitiveness against the environment that will host it for the quality, security of persons and goods. In mechanics, the tests allow making a preliminary study on the physical behavior of materials. Machinery parts which are subjected to shocks and dynamic loads during their operation must have good energy absorption and good performance. Therefore, to decide on the type of material to use in those components, testing is very important. Among the test types and devices known in the world of science and technology, the rebound resilience test machine to determine the bounciness (elasticity) of rubber having a Shore-A hardness under impact stress represents a negligible handle. The number of manufacturers is few and the literature does not say much about it. This study focuses on designing a rebound resilience test machine for testing rubber and rubber-like materials using the commercial software SolidWorks. The angular position of the pendulum is acquired using Arduino board via Matlab and a Schob type pendulum according to the standard DIN 53512 and its equivalents (ISO 4662 and ASTM D7121).
