Abstract (EN)
The objective of this study is to determine the attitudes of disabled students? towards the physical education (PE) lesson and the problems they had and to analyze whether their attitudes and behaviors differentiate or not by comparing according to the independent variants obtained from their personal knowledge?s.Descriptive and scanning methods were used to uncover the available situation in the research. Public schools of orthopedic disabled visually disabled and hearing disabled formed the universe of research, in 2009-2010 and 2010-2011 education-instruction term and 5 schools from Ankara and 1 school from Tokat formed sample of research. 171 students voluntarily participated the process of attitude scale development, 179 students voluntarily participated the process of problem scale development and poll the scales.In the research, ?Physical Education Attitudes Scale for Students With Disabilities (PEASD)?, ?Physical Education Problems Scale for Students with Disabilities (PEPSD)? and ?Personal Knowledge Form? which all developed by the researcher as data collection mean were used.t-test, one way variance analysis were used in the evaluation of the data obtained from scales (PEASD, PEPSD). Besides, in one way variance analysis, Tukey HSD test was applied to find out in which groups there are differences between the units. Significance level in the analysis was taken as 0.05.According to the results of PEASD, female students perceived themselves more deficient than male students, visually disabled students have more positive attitudes towards PE course than orthopedic and hearing disabled students, students who had mother-father low education level perceived themselves more deficient than the others. Also, students whose fathers are civil servant or craftsman perceived themselves more deficient than students whose father?s are jobless.According to the results of PEPSD, visually disabled students perceived more problems about PE than orthopedic and hearing disabled students, students whose father low education level perceived more problems about PE than others, students whose fathers are civil servant perceived more problems about PE than students whose father?s are jobless or employee.In conclusion, disabled students attitudes towards physical education are positive as similar to literature. Disabled students? problems towards PE usually emanated from course execution and physical environment factors.
