A research on the burnout level of physical education teachers working at disabled schools (Mediterrenean Region example)

This study has been conducted to work out the level of the burnout of the physical trainingteachers.For this purpose,in Mediterrenean Region cities and towns,disabled schools related toMinistry of National Education , Personal Information Form and Maslach Burnout Inventorywere applied to 81 Physical Education Teachers from 90 schools as private or officialrehabilitian centers totally 122 education institutions are decided and SPSS programme wasused to resolve the datas. Personal Information Form was made out the pre interview with thephysical training teachers and its variations were shaped according to the interview results.When the results of the Maslach Burnout Inventory are assessed, in general, one can draw up avaluation that physical training teachers live at the minimum degree of burnout.According to the results of this survey done with physical training teachers it has beendetermined that %16 of them have been emotionally exhausted, %11.1 insensitive and%18 personally nurnout. Considering sexuality it has been determined that femalesexperiences in the sense of emotional exhaustion and depersonalization have beenmore intensely compared to moles. When concerning the marital status the ones whoare single have more exposed to emotional exhaustion than the married and the marriedhave been seen as personally more successful and insensitive than the single. It hasbeen determined that the physical training teachers who have between 20 and 30 hoursa week live emotionally more exhausted and depersonalized. And the level of thepersonal burnout. It has been determined that the ones who have worked between 1 and5 years have lived emotionally more burnout and the ones who have worked between11 and 15 years have lived more burnout in the personal achievement.Keywords: Special Education, Disabled School, Physical Education Teacher, Burnout
