Abstract (EN)

Population and labor force qualifications are increasing rapidly in globalizing world. Due to this situation, employment of disabled people is getting difficult. The fact that managers preferred employees who the most talented according to the others. In the other hand, there are inadequate vocational and special training for the disabled, and the presence of negative perceptions towards to them. Because of these all effects, disabled people face unemployment problem. Result of these situations, disabled people's life quality is getting worst by econmic and health problems. The aim of the research is to conduct a qualitative study on the employability of disabled people who works in a metropolitan municipality. For this purpose to used semi-structured interview form for collecting information form disabled employees and managers in this study. The interviews were analyzed using content analysis method. Findings were evaluated according to literature knowledge. According to the results of the research, it is concluded that orthopedic disabled people work mostly in this workplace. Furthermore, disabled employees and their managers do not have enough information about knowledge of employability and skills. Finally, disabled employees are mostly satisfied with their jobs and managers. Moreover their managers have positive attitude towards disabled employees.
