Özet (EN)

In this thesis, it was aimed to investigate the hydrogeological and hydrochemical aspects of the Engiz Stream Aquifer in the Ondokuzmayıs District of Samsun Province and to monitor water quality. Physical, chemical and pollution analyzes of groundwater samples taken from 15 different points in the study area were carried out. The groundwater temperatures of the Engiz Stream aquifer are 22,1-26,7 ºC; electrical conductivity (EC) 274-8400 μS / cm; PH 7-8; Hardness 15,11-151,21; The total dissolved solids (TDS) was found to be between 287,64 and 5712 mg / l. Classification of water and water quality were determined by using analysis results. As a result of these analyzes, it was compared according to the Regulation on the Quality Control of Inland Water Resources (2004) and TS 266 Regulation on the Waters for Human Consumption (2005). In addition, US Salinity Laboratories diagrams in terms of irrigation water, hydrogeochemical facies of groundwater and their genetic interpretations are made according to Piper and Schoeller diagrams. According to the Regulation on the Quality Control of Inland Water Resources (2004), groundwater samples of Engiz Stream were classified as in terms of NO3‾, NH4+, Pb, Zn, Cr and Cd values Class I, in terms of Mn, Fe, Ni and As values Class I and II, in terms of Cu and Al values Class I, II and III. The class is located in the water class. Mn, Fe, Ni, Al and As values were found to be affected by environmental conditions and exceeding the limit value. It has been determined that groundwater is suitable for irrigation water.
