Özet (EN)

In the thesis study, the thermomechanical, chemical, mechanical and fatigue behaviors of PMMA/ABS and ABS/TPU blends were examined through experimental studies. TGA, FTIR, DSC and DMA methods were used in the characterization of blend materials. Additionally, after tensile and fatigue tests, fracture surface analyzes were carried out using a Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). Thus, the effects of ABS composition on the mechanical behavior of PMMA/ABS blends and of TPU composition on the mechanical behavior of ABS/TPU blends were investigated. As a result of the study, it was determined that the yield strength, tensile strength, and elongation at break values of PMMA/ABS blends improved by 15%, 40% and 80% compared to neat ABS. Additionally, it was observed that PMMA/ABS blend samples exhibited superior fatigue life performance compared to PMMA and ABS samples. Similarly, despite the low mechanical properties of TPU, it was determined that the ABS/TPU blend structure with 10% TPU additive exhibited superior fatigue life. Finally, it has been understood that PMMA/ABS and ABS/TPU blends can be designed to have mechanical properties and fatigue life behavior that can meet different requirements in conditions exposed to fatigue in engineering applications.
