Yabancı dil olarak Fransızca eğitimi bağlamında şiirsel çeviri öğretimi: Türkiye'deki güncel durum ve yorumlayıcı çeviri kuramı ışığında yeni bir öğretim yaklaşımı

In this research, it is aimed to discover, define and understand the place of poetry translation in foreign language education and to propose a teaching / learning course in the light of interpretive translation theory. In order to achieve this aim, the qualitative research method was applied and two different data collection tools were developed. Firstly, an opinion survey developed for French language teachers was conducted which was created with purposive sampling method. Then by applying document analysis, a few Turkish translations of some of Prévert and Éluard's poems were translated into interpretative translations and analyzed in the light of the related theory. The content analysis was used to analyze the qualitative data obtained. The result of the opinion survey reveals that it is very rare for French language teachers to practice poetry translation. At the same time, it has been determined that these teachers are aware of the difficulty of the poetry translation activity as well as the fact that they have a lot of gains. In order to overcome these difficulties related to the language of poetry, it was observed that they focused on non-linguistic elements. The results of the document analysis, on the other hand, showed that in order to be suitable for the interpretive translation theory, the translator must carry out every stage (The comprehension of meaning / Deverbalization / Re-formulation of the meaning) with great care in the formation of his re-expressed work. In line with these results, an example of a poetry translation application has been put forward to contribute to French Foreign Language Education.
