The effect of solar energy on supply security in the interconnected system; Karapınar solar power plant example

In this study, Turkiye's energy resources have been evaluated and the development of solar energy over time on the basis of which renewable energy resources can be developed has been examined. The importance of supply security provided by solar energy to the interconnected system has been examined and suggestions have been made for the system. By examining the energy resources in the interconnected system, the advantages of solar energy, which is a renewable energy source, compared to other sources and its effects on the interconnected system were investigated. While conducting this research, Karapınar Solar Power Plant(SPP), which is the largest power plant in Europe in terms of installed capacity, was discussed. Thus, it is aimed to understand the effects of such a large power plant on the network more clearly.
