The Envâr-i Ulûm magazine

In understanding a country's the world of thought which the books, magazines and articles published by intellectuals provide important information about chronology of the intellectual development's process. Magazine publishing is equivalent to catching the agenda on a regular basis and keeping diary within the framework of the period. In this context, old text Sâtı El Husri Bey's work named "Envâr-ı Ulûm" was accepted as an important source. It was presented to the today's academic world, transcribing in new letters form of magazine from the printed version with the old letters. It has been tried to determine the place of the magazine in intellectual discussions when at the time period the magazine was published. In addition, it has been tried to explain the scientific preferences of Sâtı Bey and other magazine authors in a short and concise way. Once again, besides the educator identity of Sâtı Bey, we tried to explain the thoughts that influence his mind and the influences created by these thoughts.
