Abstract (EN)

In thise thesis: Using the electrophoretic deposition method, hydroxyapatite (HA) coating process was applied to the surface of 316 L stainless steel implant material, whose surface was sanding and sandblasted, and the surface properties of the formed coatings were examined. Pre-coating materials were subjected to two different surface treatments as sanding and sandblasting. Sanding process was carried out with 320 Grit SİC sandpaper. Sand blasting process it was carried out in a vacuum sandbasting machine at 5 bar pressure with glass powder. For the coating process;60,120,180 and 240 voltage was applied. The deposition time that this voltage value will effect has been kept constant as 90 seconds. Ethenol was used as solvent in the coating process carried at by a deposition method. The coating solution was prepared by mixing ethenol and HA, PVA, N,N-Dimethylformamide chemicals in a certain ratio.. As a results of study; Microstructures of HA coatings were investigated using scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Elemental analysis (EDS) of the coating surfaces were performed. Using the X-ray diffraction method (XRD), the phases contained in the coatings and the concentration of these phases were determined. Coating thickness, roughness, hardness and elasticity modulus were determined. In addition, the scratch test was performed and the bonding resistance to the surface was checked. The results of these mechanical and metallographic tests were evaluated and discussed.
