Abstract (EN)

Epoxy resins are a polymer-based material commonly used in construction. They are used to fill the appropriate cracks during the repair, to place the steel reinforcement to be added to the concrete afterwards and to bond the reinforcement elements to the reinforced concrete elements. After the earthquakes in recent years, the issue of repair and strengthening has gained importance. The repair and strengthening works of the buildings are aimed at increasing the safety of the building and eliminating the problems such as reinforcement corrosion, deflection, fire damage and structural defects in the earthquakes that may occur. In this study, a practical reinforcement application was investigated using only epoxy mortar. For this purpose, rectangular reinforced concrete beam elements are reinforced with sikadur-31 epoxy material.In rexperiments; 10 reinforced concete beams, 2 m in length and 0.15x0.25m in section, were used. Two beams were used as control sample. For rinforcement, two beams strengthened with 5 mm thick epoxy resin, two beams strengthened with 5 mm thick fiber-rienforced epoxy resin, two beams strengthened with 5 mm thick steel fiber-rienforced epoxy resin and two beams strengthened with 5 mm thick steel fiber-rienforced epoxy resin with on sides.,. Reinforced beams were subjected to four point bending test. The test results are given in the form of load-displacement graphs and tables. As a result of the experimental studies, it has been observed that sikadur-31 epoxy material is a suitable and usable material for strengthening studies. Depending on the fibers included in the application of epoxy resin, it was determined that the maximum load amount of reinforced concrete beams compared to plain concrete beams increased between 10.7% and 20.0%.
