Abstract (EN)
Epstein-Barr viruse (EBV) is a member of human herpesvirus family seen in particularly infectious mononucleosis (EM), including malignancies such as Burkitt 's lymphoma and nasopharyngeal carcinoma, as well as responsible for the etiology of posttransplant lymphoproliferative disease emerging in immunosuppressive host (PTLH) after transplantation and that infects more than 90% of the adults. In our study, serum samples of 60 patients have been observed for their specific EBV antibodies of VCA-IgG, VCA-IgM, EBNA antibody and EA IgG by using (Diagnostic Bioprobes Srl-Italy) kit with the ELISA technique, EBV DNA has been observed by real-time PCR technique by using (artus EBV Kit QS-RGQ (24) CE-Qiagen, Germany) kit. In our study, of 17 patients which were found positive in EBV DNA (%28.33), 4(%23.5) of patient samples, three samples (17.64%) were children's hematology-oncology section, 1 (5.88%) was found to be seronegative patients from the bone marrow transplant unit. In our study, the purpose is to determine the importance of PZR real-time method fort he diagnosis and staging in patients with suspected serological EBV infection.
