Abstract (EN)

This study, which tries to determine the place of the weekly cultural journal for literature, science, and art ar-Risala, which was published in Egypt between 1933-1953 under the editorship of Ahmed Hasan Zeyyat, in Modern Arabic literature, consists of three parts. In the first part, the political, social and cultural situation of Egypt was discussed. Then, information was given about how the journal started its publication life, how often it was published, its periods, publication policy, shape features and main sections. At the end of the chapter, the editor and writer staff of the journal are examined. In the second part, the subjects in the journal and examples of the articles written on these subjects are given. In the last part, articles about Arabic literature and Arabic language were discussed. These articles are handled under four headings as poetry, story, literary article and literary discussions. Based on all these articles, the importance of the journal in Modern Arabic literature has been revealed.
