Abstract (EN)
In this research the relationship between emotional responsiveness, cognitive distortions and depression on teenagers and the mediator role of emotional responsiveness and cognitive distortion on depression experienced by teenagers were studied. Relational scanning model was used in the research. Relational scanning models are the researches in which the relationships are described between two or more variants and they are analyzed deeply. Intended for this, structural equality model was also used with the aim of determining the relationship between emotional responsiveness, cognitive distortion and depression. Convenient sampling model was used in choosing the study group. With this aim, study group of the research consists of 410 high school students in the city center of Erzurum. In the research, data collection device, the scale of emotional responsiveness, the scale of cognitive distortion, the scale of depressive symptoms and individual information form were used. According to the results of research, related findings were stated below: In the research, it was identified that the points of depression on teenagers showed meaningful differentiation on the level of gender, age and class. As a result of structural equality model which was applied with the aim of revealing the relationship between emotional responsiveness, cognitive distortions and depression, it was determined that cognitive distortion on teenagers predicts emotional responsiveness positively and and emotional responsiveness creates a high risky predictor resource positively where the teenagers experience depression on the basis of this view, it can be said that cognitive distortions have a meaningful predictory effect on depression by the way of emotional responsiveness. As a result of research findings, , it can be said that cognitive distortions and emotional responsiveness creats a risk resource in which teenagers experience depression.
