Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to examine the dominance of kinesthetic learning styles and kinesthetic intelligence areas of adolescents aged 14-18 who have high school education, and correlate them with their attitudes towards sports. The problem statement of the research; "Do the kinesthetic learning styles and kinesthetic intelligence domains of adolescents aged 14-18 attending secondary education have an effect on their attitudes towards sports?" formed in the form. While the general population of the study consists of all adolescents of secondary school age in Köyceğiz district, the study population consists of adolescents who continue their education in the relevant schools. In this direction, 812 students studying at the schools where data collection was planned were reached, and 695 students voluntarily participated in the study. As a data collection tool in the study, the kinesthetic style sub-dimension (α=.80) of the Learning Styles Scale developed by Gökdağ in 2004, the kinesthetic intelligence domain sub-dimension (α=.73) of the Multiple Intelligences Inventory developed by Saban (2001), and The Attitude Scale Towards Sports developed by Şentürk (2015) was used. Reliability, normality, frequency and parametric comparison, correlation and regression analyzes were applied to the data that could be collected online under pandemic conditions. According to the findings, it was observed that the frequency of physical activity of the students in the sample group increased in direct proportion to their academic success. It stands out as one of the important results of the study that regular physical activity positively supports academic achievement. In the study, it was found that adolescents with a dominant kinesthetic learning style and kinesthetic intelligence have high attitudes towards sports. As a result, the dominance of kinesthetic intelligence and kinesthetic learning style in adolescents positively affects attitudes towards sports at a very high rate. Not only in physical education and sports classes, but also in all classes, by giving physical duties and responsibilities in the classroom to students with dominant kinesthetic intelligence and learning styles, both natural leaders will be created and the learning motivation of the students will be raised to the highest level.
