Students of adolescence on eating habits effect of environmental factors

As in all years, nutrition is very important for growth and development in adolescents,too. There are many factors that affect nutrition and one of these is environmental factors. For this reason, this study is aimed to investigate the effects of adolescent is planned as a relationship seeker to determine the effect of environmental factors on eating habits. The research sample was prepared for adolescents studying in secondary schools and high schools in Sinop city center. A total of 500 children, 292 female and 208 male students, who agreed to participate in the survey by choosing stratified sampling, and which were in line with the criteria for the selection of the cases. As a data gathering tool, a questionnaire prepared by the researcher and containing information about personal information, nutrition habits and environmental information was used and "Eating Behavior Scale" was used to determine students' eating habits. Among the statistical evaluations of the data; t test, one way analysis of variance (ANOVA), number and frequency (percent) distributions were taken in independent groups. Anthropometric measurements of students, assessment of energy and food items; arithmetic mean (X), standard deviation (Ss), upper and lower values and scale scores were calculated. As a result of the research; the majority of the students are know of the concept of healthy eating, that they are eat the most important meal of the day which is the breakfast, do not skip meals, prefer to eat at home, have high marks on the environment on the packaging, high level of environmental pollution information, it was determined that it affected the situation.
