Abstract (EN)

The need for energy in our country is increasing day by day. However, since fossil fuels are used to a large extent in energy production, our dependence on foreign energy increases. Considering this point, policies should be developed to ensure that we do not become dependent on foreign sources in energy by diversifying resources, and that both the use of fossil fuels and the use of domestic techniques and resources as much as possible in energy production. For this reason, toryum and thorium-based reactor research should be intensified and the installation of a molten salt reactor, which is a reliable technology with IV. Generation passive safety measures that we can create with our own resources, using our own technology and knowledge, will reduce our energy dependency. In this master thesis, the energy efficiency of the fuels that can be used in the molten salt reactor, which is one of the thorium fueled reactors, as mentioned above, was investigated using the Geant4 simulation program. While creating the reactor model, the libraries in the Geant4 program were used. LiF - ThF4 (77.5-22.5 mol %) compounds were used as blanket cover. LiF - ThF4 - UF4 compounds were used as fuel salt. As a result of the reaction simulations of the fuel salt compounds at different mixing ratios, the average energy flow and average stored energy values were calculated. Average energy flow and average stored energy values were calculated for the neutron's 10 keV, 100 keV, 1 MeV and 10 MeV energies. In addition, the average energy flow and average stored energy values were calculated by using BCl4 instead of LiF in the fuel salt.
