Abstract (EN)

This research; was designed to assessment of the approach of nurses to patients' risk of falling in elderly patients bedded Service department. The study sample, 113 nurses was comprised who agreed to participate in the study in employees in the service of elderly patients in designated date. The data collection tools, was used developed questionnaire of survey by the researchers in accordance with expert opinion and literature. Analysis of the data was analyzed using SPSS 16:00 computer program. 48.7% of the study group is in the range of 20-25 years old, 62.8 % are the single and 11.5% were determined to have a chronic disease. 38% of nurses are 2-5 years of professional experience, theirs 84.1% are work on 8-16 hours, 62.8% have 40 or above bed numbered in the working service, 66.7% are 4-8 nurse staff, nurse considers to be the responsibility 98,2% of the nurse in the patient's fall, the majority of nurses (83,2%) use fall risk scale and were found to nurses 69% have not problems with managing time when the fall risk assessment. In the current study, 53.1% of nurses think most reason of patients' falling that results from patients, their relatives and hospital. 89.4% the believes necessity of education before the practice of fall in the risk assessment the scale. In addition, 70.8% of nurses said that institute took sufficient precautions. Keywords: Nurse, Falling, Fall risk
