From Early Republican period to process of province: Sport history of Bartın (1923-1991)

The purpose of this study is to analyze how sport events, which were happened during from From Early Republican Period to Process of Province, were reflected in the press and determine people's knowledges and experiences about those events on the purpose of examining sport events in Bartın. It was used to attain study's findings 'the scanning and documentation model', which is one of qualitative research methods, and also to fictionalise and interpret those results 'historical method'. It was taken as a basis sport history of Bartın between 1923 and 1991 in this study which has a descriptive historical research feature. Besides, pre and post of this period was taken as a reference in terms of the subject integrity Records of Bartın Newspaper, which was first formal newspaper in Bartın and was 3rd hometown newspaper in history of the republic of Turkey and has lastingly been published newspaper, was view in its volumes. When it comes to data analysis of the Newspaper, the section until the history of the "Letter Revolution" between 1924 and 1928 was translated in Turkish from Ottoman Turkish and the section following 1928 was examined with plug catalog. Record 68 years was viewed and it was given access from 1rd issue to 2998rd. Bartın Community Center reports, provincial directorate of youth and sports of Bartın's records, various books, magazines and cultural inventories were researched. In addition, it is obvious that oral history transmission is an important research model. For this reason, interviews was had with some person such as athlete, coach, manager and researcher-writer, who is assuming an active role by using semi-structured interview in the context of highlight Bartın sports history in the early Republican period the memories of the people. As a result; From the early Republican period to the provincialization period, it was integrate with oral history with those and investigated the rood of sports events and branchs in order to reveal the development phase of body training and sports in Bartın sport history.
