Abstract (EN)
The current study examined the relationship between early maladaptive schemas, interpersonal schemas, romantic relationship and partner-related obsessive-compulsive symptoms in individuals who have a romantic partner for at least 6 months. 400 participants who are married, engaged, or have a romantic partner were reached through the internet using the random assignment method. In order to evaluate research variables, the Young Schema Scale Short Form-3 (YSS-SF3), the Interpersonal Schema Questionnaire (Friend Form), the Relationship Obsessive-Compulsive Inventory, the Partner Related Obsessive Compulsive Scale, and the demographic information form were used. The data were analyzed with the SPSS 25.0 statistical program. In order to examine the relationships of scores obtained from the inventories with each other and with sociodemographic variables such as age, duration of the relationship, and level of satisfaction with the relationship, Pearson correlation coefficients were calculated. One-way MANOVA has been used to determine whether the scores obtained from the inventories differ according to gender and relationship status of the participants. The findings of the current study indicated that there were positive and negative relationships between early maladaptive schemas, interpersonal schemas, romantic relationship and partner-related obsessive-compulsive symptoms. In addition, it was found that the variables of the current study differed according to participants' sociodemographic characteristics such as gender, age, relationship status, relationship duration, and level of satisfaction with the relationship. The research findings have been discussed in light of the literature.
