Abstract (EN)
In this study, the correlation, paleoecology and sedimentological aspect of the basins located in the Kazan-Gökler region (Ankara) in Central Anatolia and the Karaman-Seyithasan region (Karaman) are tried to be revealed. Pollen samples obtained from the region of the Gökler conifer forest community (Pinaceae), mixed forest communities according to palinological counts conifer forest community (Pinaceae), mixed forest community (Quercus), broadleaf forest community (Engelhardia, Cyrillaceae, Castanea), riverside plant community (Alnus, Ulmus), swamp (Cupressaceae)-sweet water (Botryocuccus) community and herbaceous plants group (Quercus), broad-leaved forest community (Engelhardia, Cyrillaceae, Castanea), riverside plant community (Alnus, Ulmus), swamp (Cupressaceae) - It consists of the sweet water (Botryocuccus) community and the herbaceous plants group. According to palynological data, the sedimentation must have occurred during the Early-Middle Miocene due to the low amount of sport diversity in the communities, and biostratigraphically important forms such as Momipites quietus, Verrucatosporites favus, Polypodiaceoisporites miocaenicus, Caryapollenites simplex. In the results obtained from Karaman Basin, 8 genera and 19 species of planktonic foraminifera; 12 genera and 9 species of benthic foraminifera have been identified. According to the distribution of planktonic foraminiferal genera and species, the Orbulina suturalis İnterval Zone indicating the Middle Miocene (late Langhian) was defined. Mixed forest community and herbaceous plants are represented by lower percentages along the section line. Sedimentological and paleontological data obtained from detailed studies of the Karaman area showed that the sequence is of Langhian-Serravallian age and was deposited in a shallow marine environment. The sedimentological and paleontological data obtained from the lithostratigraphic studies carried out in the Ankara-Kazan Basin Gökler area showed that the sedimentary sequence in this region is of Early-Middle Miocene age and deposited in the lake-marsh environment.
