Abstract (EN)

In this paper, the way Gustav Klimt treats the woman figure in his works and the erotic effects revealed as a result of his way of treatment of woman figure are analysed. Therefore, besides native and foreign literature scaning, analysis of some of the artist's important works are included in the paper. Gustav Klimt refrained from the idealization of female figure in a historical style and he refused to remain stick to the mithological and canonical themes. Rather than that, Klimt worked on the subject of reflecting the human reality to the nude. Thanks to Klimt, the female image on the canvas has gained a sense of time, identity and personality. As a result of this, the sense of erotism comes together with the female image.
