Abstract (EN)

In Erzincan, dry bean is produced using landraces or mixed local populations. In recent years, farmers have abandoned dry bean cultivation due to decreasing profitability caused by low yields of local genotypes. This study was conducted to determine the performance of 30 dry bean cultivars and two local dry bean genotypes under Erzincan. The field trial was conducted in the application and research areas of the Horticultural Research Institute in 2017. The experiment was designed as a randomized block design with four replications. In the study, emergence, flowering time, vegetation time, plant height, number of main branches in the plant, number of pods in the plant, number of grains in the pod, hundred grain weight, yield per plant and grain yield and protein ratio were evaluated. Grain yields of genotypes were between 112.2 - 397.5 kg, plant height 48.5-118.8 cm, first pod height 11.7-20.3 cm, number of main branches 3.4-4.9, number of pods 12.8-39.5, number of grains per pod 3. 26-5.16, grain yield per plant 20.61-54.48 g, harvest index 25.7-35.1%, biological yield 423.6-1418.1 g and hundred grain weight 17.4-60.1 g, protein content 17.9-23.2%. The highest grain yield was determined in Göynük-98 and the highest hundred grain weight was determined in Koray. According to the results obtained, it was concluded that Göynük-98 for rooster grain type, Batallı for dermason grain type, Berrak for bush type, Sururbey for sugar grain type, Önceler-98 for red kidney type can improve bean production due to their higher grain yield, protein content and hundred grain weights compared to other cultivars in the same grain types. 2024, 53 Page
